ID & documents

All campers need government-issued identification that matches the name and gender used on their travel ticket. On the registration form, there’s a place to enter a camper’s legal name just for travel bookings; this is kept confidential and separate from the name used at camp. :contentReference[oaicite:10]{index=10}

Campers coming from the United States must have a valid passport to cross the border.

Once campers arrive, we store passports, IDs, and any electronics used for travel in a secure place for the week so they don’t get lost or damaged. :contentReference[oaicite:11]{index=11}

If travel costs are a barrier

We know travel can be a major part of the cost of coming to camp, especially for rural, Northern, and out-of-province campers. That’s why Rainbow Camp® offers:

  • Sliding-scale camp fees and camperships.
  • Travel bursaries for those traveling from farther away.
  • Travel credits for families who arrange their own transportation.

Travel bursary and campership applications are built right into online registration. Funds are limited, but we encourage you to apply and to clearly describe your needs. :contentReference[oaicite:12]{index=12}
