Help Us Find a Home for Rainbow Camp
The right property, land lead, or introduction could help secure a permanent future for 2SLGBTQI+ youth and community.
We are actively looking for land, an existing camp, retreat property, or other site that could become Rainbow Camp’s permanent home.
We are actively reviewing opportunities now.
We’re Looking for the Right Place
Rainbow Camp is currently without a permanent site. We are working to find a home where youth can gather, community can grow, and our long-term intergenerational vision can take root.
That home could be land, an existing camp, a retreat centre, a lodge property, or another space with potential. We are open to possibilities and ready to explore serious leads.
Land
Vacant land with room to build and grow.
Existing Site
A camp, lodge, retreat, or property with usable buildings.
Connections
Introductions to owners, municipalities, or decision-makers.
What We’re Looking For
We know the perfect site may not exist exactly as imagined, so we are keeping an open mind. That said, these are the features that would help most:
- 5–50+ acres, with flexibility depending on the property
- Northern or rural Ontario preferred
- Waterfront ideal, but not required
- Existing buildings or camp infrastructure are a bonus
- Road access and seasonal or year-round usability
- Potential for future growth and community use
What Kinds of Leads Help
We are interested in more than just real estate listings. The best lead may come from someone who knows someone.
People who may be open to selling, donating, leasing, or discussing a camp, lodge, retreat property, or parcel of land.
Local residents, business owners, service clubs, and supporters who know the area and may know of properties not publicly listed.
Municipal leaders or staff who may know of community land, former camp properties, or partnership opportunities.
Existing camps, retreat centres, lodges, resorts, or church properties that may have potential for reuse, partnership, or transition.
